Wednesday, May 7th:

Shamrocks vs. Extraordinary Gentlemen

The 2006-2007 CAHL Cup Champion Shamrocks faced off against this season's first place Division I Extraordinary Gentlemen in the quest for the CAHL Cup Championship.

Geoff Zimmerman, the winner of the CAHL 2006-2007 Playoff MVP Trophy, Top Scorer Trophy, All-Star MVP Trophy, 100 Point Season Trophy, and 50 Goal Season Trophy was in all every score for his team with two goals and an assist.

Zimmerman was a threat to score every time he had the puck however the Gentlemen goalie Dave Inthansane was a virtual force field protecting his net as he stopped 44 of 47 shots for a .937 save percentage.

The Gentlemen were led to the win with superb offence from scoring sensations Scott Serwa and Scott Frost who both fired in hat tricks. Captain Chris Wilkins, Dustin Schnurer, Robert Czank, Dickie McNabb , and Ryan Campbell each scored a goal apiece.

The Extraordinary Gentlemen will now await the winner of tonight's match up between the Shockers and QMax Cougars to see who they will face off against in the quest for the CAHL Cup Championship.

The Pursuit of 100 Career Goals:

The Rush Roofing Rockets centre Scott Bouwman and the current overall leading scorer Geoff Zimmerman of the Shamrocks are both on the verge of being the first players to reach 100 career CAHL regular season goals. Geoff Zimmerman is nine goals away with 91 while Scott Bouwman has 15 more to go at 85 goals.

CAHL 2007-2008 Season Opener:

QMax Cougars vs. Shamrocks

The CAHL 2006-2007 Top Defenceman Trophy winner Kent Gillings picked up where he left off last season as he had a tremendous four goal and one assist performance to propel the Shamrocks to a season opening victory.

Shamrocks team mate Geoff Zimmerman, the winner of the CAHL 2006-2007 Playoff MVP Trophy, Top Scorer Trophy, All-Star MVP Trophy, 100 Point Season Trophy, and 50 Goal Season Trophy, was close behind with two goals and three assists.

Brad Kennedy and JP Fouliard were the key pieces of the QMax Cougars offence as each player rifled in a pair of pucks. JP Fouliard notched an assist too for a total of three points. Fellow Cougar Jon Sand tallied a triple as well with a goal and two assists.
