Division A Championship: Reapers vs. Rockets on Wednesday, April 12th

The Reapers are the 2005-2006 CAHL Cup Champions and Gold Medalists after winning game three 7-5 against the Rockets. The Rockets are the CAHL 2005-2006 Silver Medal winners. Reapers' goalie Tyler Corrigall was awarded the CAHL 2005-2006 Playoff MVP Trophy for his incredible goaltending throughout the playoffs.

 

The trio of Adam Wilcox, Jerry MacGawon, and Domenic Niro were magnificent for the Reapers. Adam Wilcox scored the CAHL Cup winning goal with just 58 seconds remaining in the second period and finished with an incredible five points. Jerry MacGawon led all Reapers with an amazing six point performance scoring a hat trick and three assists. Captain Domenic Niro had an excellent four point night with two goals and two assists. Sean Mortimer and Justin MacFarlane each added an assist. Tyler Corrigall had another outstanding game for the Reapers making a total of 37 saves and was especially great during the second period when he turned aside 20 of the 21 shots he faced.

 

Jordan Pinkster topped all Rockets with an excellent two goal game. Scott Bouwman scored another shorthanded goal and finished the playoffs with an unbelievable three shorthanded goals in five playoff games. Scott Bergen and Chaynne Klatt both had big two point nights. Scott Bergen scored one goal and one assist, and Chaynne Klatt got two assists. Kyle Lewis scored a goal and Jason Upton and Tim Rycecamp each got an assist. Phil Bonk had a great game with some incredible saves including an amazing glove save on a breakaway during the second period.

 

In addition to winning the CAHL 2005-2006 Playoff MVP Trophy, Tyler Corrigall was also awarded the CAHL 2005-2006 Top Goalie Trophy for having the best goals against average during the regular season. Domenic Niro was awarded the CAHL Top Scorer Trophy for the second consecutive season. He finished the regular season with an amazing 72 points which was 22.6% of his team's offence. Domenic Niro was also awarded the CAHL 2005-2006 MVP Trophy for having the highest percentage of his team's scoring points during the regular season. Michelle Lowey was awarded the CAHL 2005-2006 Top Female Player Trophy for her incredible season in leading all female players in scoring.

Division A Championship: Rockets vs. Reapers on Wednesday, April 5th

Seven skaters had already gone for each team and the shootout was still tied 4-4. The eighth skater for the Rockets then took his turn and was denied by the Reapers goalie Tyler Corrigall. Steve Dand went in as the eight skater for the Reapers and became the shootout hero scoring a beauty goal. The Rockets lost by the final score of 2-3 to the Reapers in game two of the best of three Division A Championship.

 

Scott Bouwman and Curt Bransma led the way for the the Rockets with big two point games each. Scott Bergen scored a power play goal with just 4:13 remaining in the third period to tie the game 2-2 and send it into the shootout. Jason Upton picked up an assist. Phil Bonk stopped 19 shots including an incredible glove save late in the third period while on the penalty kill.

 

Tyler Corrigall was phenomenal for the Reapers with an amazing performance making one outstanding save after another throughout the entire game. Corrigall turned aside 37 of the 39 shots he faced for a fantastic .949 save percentage and stopped 31 of the 32 shots thrown his way during the first two periods. Shootout hero Steve Dand finished with one goal and Domenic Niro and Jerry MacGawon each had two points. Adam Wilcox added an assist.

Division A Championship: Reapers vs. Rockets on Wednesday, March 29th

The Reapers were defeated by the Rockets 2-6 in the first game of the best of three Division A Championship. Steve Brandon led the way for the Rockets with an incredible game scoring a hat trick and an assist for a total of four points. Scott Bouwman also had a very good night with two points. Curt Bransma and Kyle Ustache both scored a goal apiece. Scott Bergen, Chad Asuchak, and Jordan Pinkster each picked up an assist. Phil Bonk turned aside 17 shots and made a great save on a cross crease pass while down sprawled across the ice.

 

The Reapers were led by Jerry MacGawon and Domenic Niro who both had big two point games. Adam Wilcox added an assist. Tyler Corrigall made 38 saves including a great glove save while being screened during the first period. In the third period Tyler stopped a one on one deke which was followed immediately by a point blank shot that he also saved.

Playoffs: Reapers vs. Thrashers on Thursday, March 16th

The Reapers will advance to the finals after winning 3-1 against the Thrashers  in game two of the semi-finals to take the series 2-0. Chris Shurville led all Reapers with two points. Adam Wilcox, Domenic Niro, and Justin MacFarlane each scored a goal. Chris Brown picked up an assist. Tyler Corrigall was awesome throughout the game making one great glove save after another. He stopped 25 of the 26 shots he faced for an excellent .962 save percentage.

Playoffs: Thrashers vs. Reapers on Thursday, March 9th

The Thrashers lost to the Reapers 2-8 in the first game of the best of three semi-finals. Adam Wilcox had a fantastic performance for the Reapers scoring a hat trick and three assists for a total of six points. Joe Nitychoruk had a great game as well with two goals and an assist. Daniel Wallace had a very good night with three points. Jerry MacGawon got a solid two points. Michelle Lowey scored a goal, and Steve Dand and Dayle Hogg each picked up an assist. Tyler Corrigall played great and turned aside 21 of the 23 shots he faced for a .913 save percentage. Mark Sebastian and Jordan Skinner scored for the Thrashers. Chad Holonics and Mark Voghell each got an assist.

Milestones: 50 Career Goals and 100 Career Points

Domenic Niro is the first player in the CAHL to reach 50 career goals and 100 career points. He reached both milestones in his 41st game.

Reapers vs. Strange Brew: Tuesday, January 10th

The Reapers won 4-3 against the Strange Brew. Joe Nitychoruk scored the game winner for the Reapers with just 3:04 remaining in the game. Adam Wilcox led all Reapers with a pair of goals. Jerry MacGawon also scored a goal. Domenic Niro, Dayle Hogg, and Chris Shurville all picked up an assist. John Maughan had a great night for the Strange Brew with three points. Mike Wasylyk had a big two point game. Jesse Hove and Andrew Baker each added an assist.

Reapers vs. Divers: Thursday, December 22nd

The Reapers lost to the Divers 6-13. Domenic Niro had a great four point night for the Reapers with a goal and three assists. Daniel Wallace added three assists and Adam Wilcox scored two goals. Brent Gay led the way for the Divers with an incredible four goal game. Kevin Lewis and Craig Bezjack both had great four point nights. Aaron Young, Jarret Mann, Tyler Brown, and Cam Doepker all had solid two point games.

The Flyers lost to the Reapers 9-12. Brian Santangelo led all Flyers with a huge five point game. Duane Madsen and Robert Harvey both had great four point nights. Adam Wilcox and Domenic Niro led the way for the Reapers with an incredible seven and six points. Joe Nitychoruk and Chris Shurville also had big games with three points each.

The Thrashers lost to the Reapers 9-10. Domenic Niro had an incredible game scoring four goals and adding an assist for a five point night. Adam Wilcox and Daniel Wallace both had great three point games. Joe Nitychoruk and Terry Williston added two points each. Chad Holonics had a big night for the Thrashers scoring a pair of goals.

Reapers vs. Blues: Monday, December 5th

The Reapers lost to the Blues 3-12. Andrew Griffin had a huge night for the Blues scoring four goals and an assist for a total of five points. Steve Atkinson also had a huge five point game with two goals and three assists. Scott Atkinson and John Davidson both had great three point games with a goal and two assists each. Matt Dyck had a solid two point night. Domenic Niro led the way for the Reapers with a big two goal game. Adam Wilcox had a solid two assist night. Chris Shurville added a goal.

Rockets vs. Thrashers: Thursday, December 1st

The Rockets defeated the Thrashers 16-5. Chaynne Klatt had a big seven point game for the Rockets. Kyle Lewis, Scott Bouwman, and Jason Upton had six, five, and four points respectively. Andrew Warwick, Eric Havinga, and Chad Asuchak got three points each. Thrasher Bobby Scott had a big three point night. Chris Salewich and Mark Sebastian both had solid two point games. Wade Chapman added a goal.

Reapers vs. Strange Brew: Monday, November 28th

The Reapers defeated the Strange Brew 5-4. Curtney Aragon scored what seemed to be the game winning goal for the Strange Brew with only 0:51left in the third period. Just 19 seconds later and with only 0:32 left to go, last season's league top scorer Domenic Niro, scored to tie the game. A shootout was needed to decide the winner. Both goalies, Tyler Carrigal of the Reapers and Mark Gord of the Strange Brew, were unbelievable stopping all four shooters from each team. The Reapers fifth shooter, Jason Grierson scored, forcing the Strange Brew into a do or die situation. Jesse Hove was the fifth shooter for the Brew. He skated in and went for the top corner only to have Tyler Carrigal make a magnificent glove save to win the shootout for the Reapers. Shootout hero Jason Grierson also added an assist in the game. Domenic Niro had a great night as well with two goals and an assist. Curtney Aragon and John Maughan had big two point games for the Brew.

Reapers vs. Rockets: Wednesday, November 23rd

The Reapers were leading 5-1 early in the second period when the Rockets suddenly scored four goals, including three by Steven Rogers, within a 2:55 span to start the biggest comeback win of the season. The Rockets scored five unanswered goals to take a 6-5 lead midway through the second. The Rockets eventually won 6-10 outscoring the Reapers 9-1 after falling behind 5-1. Steven Rogers, Steve Brandon, and Kyle Lewis all had outstanding five point performances for the Rockets. Andrew Warwick, Chaynne Klatt, and Chad Asuchak had great nights contributing three points each. Scott Bouwman added a goal. Adam Wilcox and Justin MacFarlane both had big games for the Reapers with three points each. Joe Nitychoruk had a great two goal night. Chris Shurville and Domenic Niro added a goal apiece.

Reapers vs. Black Bulls: Thursday, November 17th

The Reapers were defeated by the Black Bulls 3-5. Rob MacEachern led the Bulls to the win with his second hat trick of the season. Jason Wawryk and Mike Hammer both had big three point games. Landin Sharkey added a pair of assists. Terry Williston topped all Reapers with two goals and an assist for a great three point night. Jason Grierson also added a goal. Reaper goalie Tyler Carrigal turned aside 31 shots.

Divers vs. Reapers

The Divers defeated the Reapers 13-6. Dan Bourgault led all Divers with a fantastic six point night. Teammates Craig Bezjack and Aaron Young were close behind with huge five point games. Dave Scully and Vince Pitt also had big nights with three points each. Jason Miller, Jarret Mann, and Cam Doepker contributed two points apiece. Adam Wilcox had a great night for the Reapers scoring two goals and two assists for a four point game. Domenic Niro also had a big game scoring two goals. Chris Shurville had a solid two point night with a goal and an assist. Dayle Hogg added a goal.

Flyers vs. Reapers

The Flyers lost to the Reapers 6-7. Domenic Niro had an incredible six point game for the Reapers scoring a hat trick and adding three assists. His third goal of the game at 5:54 of the second period was also his 50th career point. Adam Wilcox also had a great game for the Reapers collecting four points. Daniel Wallace and Derek Wilcox contributed two points each. The Flyers were led by Brian Santangelo and Dan Canfield who both had big three point nights. Levi Pittman added a pair of goals.

Reapers vs. Blues

The Reapers lost to the Blues 4-7. Steve Atkinson led the way for the Blues scoring a hat trick and adding an assist for a great four point night. Adam Wilcox of the Reapers also had a great night scoring a hat trick. The Blues' Laird Dyck, Lynden Dyck, Derek Hamill, and Andrew Griffin all had big two point games. The Reapers' goalie Tyler Carrigal stopped 32 shots including 17 in the second period. Chris Shurville and Domenic Niro added two points apiece for the Reapers.

Shootout: Thrashers vs. Reapers

Lee Cottreau scored the tying goal for the Thrashers with just 1:02 remaining in the third period to send the game into the shootout. Mark Voghell scored the shootout and game winning goal on the Thrashers' second attempt. Thrasher goalie Steve Tolhurst stopped all five shooters from the Reapers for his second shootout win of the season. Tyler Carrigal stopped four of the five Thrasher shooters he faced. The final score was 4-3 for the Thrashers.

The Reapers lost to the Rockets 2-7. Steve Brandon had an outstanding four goal game. Eric Havinga, Chad Asuchak, and Scott Bouwman also added two points apiece for the Rockets. The Reapers goalie Tyler Carrigal stopped 31 of 38 shots.

The Black Bulls won 6-2 against the Reapers. Landin Sharkey had three points for the Black Bulls and Rob MacEachern, Jason Wawryk, and Dean Dueck added two points apiece. The Reapers' Domenic Niro had a two point night with a goal and an assist.
