The
Ice Storm defeated the
Gladiators on Thursday night's playoff contest.
Player of the game
Patrick Lauzon had an
unbelievable 15 point night for the Ice Storm.
Ice Storm
Nick Oriold notched a
total of eight points while
Jason Petelski had
seven points. Team mate
Shaughn McAuliffe
had five points as Kyle Myden
and
Mike Cook each contributed
four points. Defenceman Martin Robichaud
tallied three points.
Hinrich Finck scored a
goal and
Justin Heffner
collected an assist.
Goaltender
Mark Cole made a memorable
great glove grab during the final period in the playoff win.
Zine Hussein was the
Gladiators player of the game as he fired in a pair of goals
which included an awesome top corner goal in the middle period.
Hussein also had an
assist for a great three point match.
Gladiator
Mike
Schiebelbein scored a goal and an assist for a big two point
showing.
Sid Abdallah finished
with a pair of points as well as he set up a couple of goals.
Adel Fares and
Nazieh Hammoud each
hit the back of the net once while
Dylan Wiebe contributed
an assist for the Gladiators.
The Gladiators goaltender
Lino Martino denied 40
chances from the Ice Storm as he faced an abounding number of
scoring opportunities throughout the game.

Brian Abildgaard had
three points apiece to energize the Pylons
to a win against the
Gladiators.
Pylon David Hughes
contributed a couple of points while
Keegan Donovan and
Russ Bechtold each notched
one point.
Goalie
Martin Gregoire turned
back 30 of 31 shots for an awesome .968 save percentage for the
Pylons.
Nazieh Hammoud was
the player of the game for the Gladiator as he scored late in
the opening period.
Samir Abdallah and
Sam Fares picked up the
assists.
The Gladiators goalie
Lino Martino made some
big saves and turned away a total of 20 pucks on the night.

The lethal duo of
player of the game
Logan Dixon and
Kenton Lefthand
combined for a total of eight goals for the
Tornadoes as they defeated the
Gladiators.
Both players scored four times and
Logan Dixon also added an
assist to amass five points.
Stan Mazursky had a
great three point night for the Tornadoes while
Jamie Ryan and
Ryan
Ewasiuk
fired in a goal apiece.
Phil Ray contributed an
assist on
Kenton Lefthand's
second goal of the match in the first period.
The Tornadoes goalie
Rob O'Donnell deflected
16 pucks and made a big glove grab late in the match on a close
range scoring chance.
Sam Fares was the
Gladiators player of the game as he scored a goal and an assist
for a big two point showing.
Shane Graham also had a
couple of points with a pair of assists while
Adel Fares notched an
assist on his team's final goal of the night.
Goaltender
Lino Martino reacted to
a point blank shot with a great pad stack save and also had
another memorable moment in the second period when he made three
consecutive stops on three shots from just the edge of the goal
crease.
Martino racked up a
total of 28 saves in the game.

Rug Doctors
vs. Gladiators on Friday, August 10
Goal scoring expert
Ross Peak powered the
Rug
Doctors to a win over the Gladiators
with a two goal and one assist player of the game effort.
Rug Doctor Bryan Manchul had a big two goal night as well.
Cole Piechotta and
Sean Osis both had two
point matches as
Piechotta scored a
goal and an assist while
Osis contributed a pair of
assists.
Kevin Wong also scored
while
Mark Boulton picked up
an assist.
Goaltender
Andy Leung deflected 19
pucks on 21 shots to finish with a great .905 save percentage
for the Rug Doctors.
Brian McKenzie was
the Gladiators player of the game as he fired in a big power
play goal late in the first period to give his team a 2-0 lead
at the time.
Gladiators
Sid Abdallah and
Adel Fares continued to
rack up the points as
Abdallah collected a
pair of assists for his 15th point in just nine games while
Fares scored the opening
goal which was also his team leading 17th point.
Gladiator defenceman
Jim Murphy contributed an
assist and Lino Martino
turned away 13 shots in the match which included some solid
stops.

Jesse Foster
advanced the
Hazards
to a victory against the
Gladiators with a fantastic five
goal and three assist player of the game performance.
Fellow Hazard Steve Runcie
had an excellent total of four points. Tim Adams and Angus
Macleod both notched three big points.
Greg Schamps had a solid
one goal and one assist effort.
Captain Greg Bates and
Taylor MacDonald each
contributed an assist.
Warner Johnston
continued his five game winning streak with a 22 save outing. A
couple of his best stops occurred late in the game when he
denied a huge one timed shot with his left pad and later stopped
a breakaway with a terrific glove grab.
Mike
Schiebelbein was the player of the game for the Gladiators
as he had a great three point night with one goal and a pair of
assists.
Gladiator team mate
Sam Fares had a strong
game as well with a goal and an assist.
Sam Fares was a threat
throughout the match with some big scoring chances only to be
thwarted by the Hazards goalie
Warner Johnston who
came up with some stellar stops.
Sid Abdallah also fired
in a goal and set up another for the Gladiators.
Joel Irwin hit the back
of the net during a power play early in the middle period.
Hadi Fares and
Adel Fares both notched
an assist.
The Gladiators
goaltender Steve Coady made some tremendous saves such as his
breakaway stop to start the final period and an even bigger save
on a two man breakaway chance with just over 23 seconds left in
the match.

Ice
Storm goal
scoring specialist
Patrick Lauzon advanced
his team to a victory against the
Gladiators with a cyclopean eight point player of the game
performance.
The Ice Storm had towering efforts from numerous other players
as well such as
Nick Oriold who had an
exceptional nine points and
Jason Petelski who
collected an awesome seven points.
Shaughn McAuliffe,
Chris Sawchuk,
and
Kyle Myden all had great
five point games while
Mike Cook and
Martin Robichaud
contributed four and three assists respectively.
Ice Storm Brian
Sawchuk also collected an assist and between the pipes goalie
Mark Cole made some good
stops for the win.
Nazieh Hammoud was
the Gladiators player of the game for the second time in the
past three matches as he had a great two goal and one assist
showing. Team mate
Sid Abdallah also
picked up three big points with a goal and a pair of helpers.
In the final period Gladiator
Sam Fares went in on
breakaway and scored a fantastic goal on a shot after a 360
degree full spin move.
Adel Fares scored for the
Gladiators with a perfectly placed wrist shot in the initial
period and also notched an assist in the second frame.
Samir Abdallah and
Mike
Schiebelbein each
had a goal and an assist as well.
Fellow Gladiator
Brian McKenzie
contributed a pair of assists while
Dylan Wiebe and
Shane Graham collected
one helper apiece.
Gladiators goaltender
Lino Martino made a
great glove save on a short range backhand shot in the first
frame and stopped a clear cut breakaway opportunity in the
middle period.
Martino blocked a total
of 33 shots and also assisted on
Sam Fares's breakaway
goal.

Snipers vs.
Gladiators on Tuesday, July 17

Jeff Stevenson
propelled the
Snipers to a Tuesday night victory over the
Gladiators with a fantastic five
goal and two assist player of the game performance.
Snipers leading scorer
Jamie Sexton had an
awesome five point night while
Jeremy Rogers wasn't far
behind with three points.
Alex Fraser and
Chris Bierwagon both
finished with big two point efforts while
Joe Gay and
Dan Kopcinovic each
contributed an assist.
Fellow Sniper
Campbell
Dansereau controlled the puck all the way from centre ice to
deep into the offensive zone and around the net to score his
second goal in as many games.
Josh Wildey was excellent
between the pipes as he collected a total of 35 saves which
included a .952 save percentage in the middle period as he
stopped 20 of the 21 pucks aimed his way in that period alone.
The Gladiators speedy center and player of the game
Sid Abdallah led the
way for his team with a great two goal and one assist night. One
of
Abdallah's goals was
shorthanded as well.
Team mate Zine Hussein
had a three point match as well with three assists and continues
to lead his team in points.
Gladiator
Adel Fares launched in a
shorthanded goal and an assist for a pair of points. Defenceman
Jim Murphy fired in a
power play goal early in the game and also made a memorable play
when he broke up a two on one pass attempt with a perfect poke
check.
The Gladiators goalie
Lino Martino made a
colossal save early in the second period when a turnover behind
his net led to a huge point blank slap shot from the dangerous
goal per game scorer Alex Fraser
who has five goals in just six games.
Martino finished with a
total of 27 stops on the night.

Pylons vs.
Gladiators on Friday, July 13
Pylons goaltender
David Hughes made a great
save on a one timed point blank shot in the final two minutes of
the game as the
Gladiators pulled their goalie for
an extra attacker for one final surge.
David Hughes was the Pylons
player of the game and turned aside a total of 20 shots in the
match for the 6-3 victory on
Friday.
Kevin Donovan and
Brendan Waters each
scored twice for the Pylons while team mates
Jim Madden and
Andrew Abildgaard
fired in a goal apiece.
Jim Madden also had an assist
for a two point effort.
The Pylons all-star
captain Brian Abildgaard
notched two points as well with a couple of assists. Fellow
Pylons
Russ Bechtold and
Kieth Hughes each
contributed an assist on the night.
Nazieh Hammoud rifled
in a goal and was strong throughout the three periods to finish
with the player of the game honours for the Gladiators.
The team top scorer
Zine Hussein and point
per game player
Hadi Fares scored the
other two goals for the Gladiators.
Adel Fares,
Sid Abdallah, and
Dylan Wiebe all
collected an assist in the match.
Gladiators goalie Hadi Hammoud
made an awesome breakaway stop in the third period and finished
with 26 saves.

Rug Doctors
vs. Gladiators on Friday, July 6

With just 0:40 showing on the score board in the first period
the Rug Doctors
goalie Andy Leung made an
awesome save on a huge breakaway chance.
Leung continued his great play
against the Gladiators through the
remaining two periods to capture the player of the game honours.
Chris Quon, Pete and
Garhett
Piechotta
provided the offensive firepower for the Rug Doctors.
Quon and Pete contributed
the goals while
Piechotta
contributed the assist.
Travis Lowe put together
an outstanding player of the game performance for the Gladiators
with a total of four points.
Lowe rifled in a pair of
goals, which included the game winner, and a pair of assists to
lead his team to their Friday night victory against the Rug
Doctors.
Samir Abdallah was
excellent as well as he launched in a couple of goals on the
power play for the Gladiators.
Adel Fares and
Nazieh Hammoud were
the other two scorers on the night as both players notched a
goal apiece.
Fares collected a pair of
assists as well for a great three point match.
Team mates
Sam Fares and
Mike
Schiebelbein each contributed an assist.
Gladiator
Jim Murphy played a
pivotal role in the win with his strong defensive play in the
back end and he picked up an assist as well in the final period.
The Gladiators goaltender Lino Martino
made a great breakaway save in the middle period which was
followed up with an excellent pad stack save as the Rug Doctors
maintained puck possession for the second scoring chance.

Zine Hussein had an
electrifying game for the Gladiators
as he scored six goals and an assist to power his team to a
Tuesday night victory against the
Tornadoes.
The Gladiators player of the game
Zine Hussein displayed
his devastating shot as he scored his second and third goals of
the night on one timed slap shots which were set up with great
passes from Sam Fares and
Adel Fares.
Zine Hussein has now
climbed up to second overall in goals and fourth overall in
points.
Gladiator
Nazieh Hammoud made a
great deke move from his left to right to score at the 4:59 mark
of the middle period. Just 2:49 later, team mate
Dylan Wiebe fired in the
eventual game winner from the right hand boards to give his team
a 5-4 lead.
Adel Fares finished with
an awesome four point night for the Gladiators.
Hadi Fares had a great
match as well with three points on the strength of a third
period goal and two assists.
Sam Fares notched a pair
of assists too which included the tape to tape pass for
Zine Hussein's second
goal.
Sid Abdallah also
contributed an assist as he made a perfect pass to set up
Nazieh Hammoud's big
deke goal in the middle frame.
Gladiators goaltender
Lino Martino stopped a
point blank chance at his doorstep on the right side the crease
in the middle period and continued on to finish with a total of
24 saves, which included 13 stops in the first period alone, for
the win.
The Tornadoes player of the game
Tommy McIvor got his
team on the score board early with a fantastic backhand to
forehand deke on a breakaway goal just 1:59 into the first
period. He came through for his team once again only 1:40 into
the middle period with a power play goal.
Tommy McIvor nearly had
his hat trick goal on a great breakaway chance later in the same
period.
McIvor now has four
goals in only three games to start his season at a top flight
pace of 1.33 goals per game.
Tornadoes
Phil Ray and
Kenton Lefthand both
rifled in a goal apiece on the night with
Ray netting his goal in the
first frame while
Lefthand notched his
in the second period. Lefthand
also collected an assist for a big two point night and now has
four points in just three games.
Jamie Ryan picked up an
assist to continue his lead of the Tornadoes in points with six.
Joe Nitychoruk
contributed an assist as well which was his fifth point of the
season.
Goalie
Rob O'Donnell completed
the match with some big stops for the Tornadoes especially his
incredible save in the middle period on a short range one timed
shot which was set up from a pass on his left side.

Scott Roy scored a natural hat trick and two assists as he led
the
Potters to a Tuesday night win against
the
Gladiators.
Potters
Jason Villeneuve and
Tyler Bohn both had awesome
four point games.
Team mates
Chad Cox,
Brendan Engdahl,
Dustyn Auramenko and
Brandon Gramlich
notched three points apiece.
Greg Bergeron
and
Kirk Ringuette each
contributed a pair of assists. Potter goaltender
Thomas Waters
stopped 17 of the 18 shots aimed his way for an excellent .944
save percentage.
The Gladiators player of the game
Sid Abdallah was
dangerous throughout the night utilizing his speed especially
when he broke away late in the first period and scored a great
breakaway goal.
Nazieh Hammoud and
Adel Fares contributed
the assists on the play. Gladiators goalie

with 29 stops which included a huge
glove grab in the second period.

Steve Brandon fueled the
Rockets offence with a dominant eight
goal and two assist performance as his team defeated the
Gladiators.
Rockets all-star
defenceman
Kurt Bransma had an
incredible eight point night while
Scott Bouwman,
Cody Feenstra, and
Eric Havinga notched six,
five, and four points respectively.
Scott Bergen had a four
point match for the Rockets as well. Team mate
Jason Upton and
Steven Havinga both had
big three point games.
Jordan Pinkster
contributed a pair of points while
Mike Parton and
Brian Havinga
each collected one assist.
The Rockets all-star
goalie
Phil Bonk turned away 21
shots which included a great pad stack save in the middle period
on a close range shot and another top flight double leg slide
save in the final period on a clear cut breakaway chance.
Adel Fares was the
Gladiators player of the game as he fired in a goal and set up
another.
Fares also displayed his
quick hand eye coordination as he made an amazing goal stopping
defensive play when he stopped a shot, undoubtedly headed into
the open net, with just his stick blade which was in the crease
just inches from the goal line.
Gladiators
Sam Fares and
Zine Hussein notched
multiple point games as well.
Fares scored one goal and two assists while
Hussein collected one
of each. Both players now have five points in just their first
two games.
Hadi Fares also
contributed an assist in the final period on
Zine Hussein's goal.
Gladiators goaltender Lino Martino
deflected 25 pucks through the three periods and made some
memorable saves such as during the midway point of the first
frame when he completely denied a point blank one timed shot.

Ice Storm to a Monday night victory
against the
Gladiators as he fired in an
excellent hat trick in addition to an assist for a four point
performance.
Shaughn McAuliffe
and Mike Cook also rifled in awesome hat tricks on the night.
Ice Storm goaltender Mark Cole defended his territory well as he
finished with 18 stops.
Zine Hussein was the
player of the game for the Gladiators as he scored his team's
first goal with a laser like top corner shot and would later add
one more goal and an assist to finish with a great three point
match. Sam Fares and
Sid Abdallah each had
muti-point games too as Fares
buried a goal and an assist while
Abdallah set up a pair
of goals.
Travis Lowe launched in
his team's last goal of the night at the 4:24 mark of the final
period. Gladiators goalie
Lino Martino turned
aside 40 pucks including some tremendous goal stopping glove
saves.
