Weekend Division Playoffs:

Outlaws vs. Jets on Saturday, May 12th

The winner of the Saturday night round two playoff game between the Outlaws and Jets would face the Pylons for the CAHL Cup Championship on Sunday. The Outlaws regular season top scorer Guy Mageau opened up the scoring with a big goal just 1:49 into the game to give his team an early 1-0 lead. Number 18 of the Jets, Denny Englehart, tied up the game at one apiece late in the period with only 3:30 remaining. The shots were 9-8 in favour of the Outlaws after the first frame. 

 

The Jets 39 goal scorer Jason Wroblewsky, got his team a lead less than a minute into the second period with a power play marker. While on the penalty kill 63 seconds later, the Jets other 39 goal man, Chris Macgregor, went coast to coast and fired in a huge unassisted short handed goal. The Jets went on to score four more unanswered goals before the Outlaws scored again. After two periods the Jets were up 10-2.

 

The Outlaws scored twice more in the final period with goals from Guy Mageau and Lyndon Pippin while the Jets got three third period goals, one from Denny Englehart and a pair from Jeff Farncombe. Outlaw Brad MacDonald notched a couple of assists including a perfect feed to Lyndon Pippin who scored late in the game.

 

Chris Macgregor led the Jets to a 13-4 victory and was his team's player of the game as he finished with an amazing five goals and four assists for a colossal total of nine points. Jets goaltender Geoff Hwang turned back 28 pucks which included a great right pad save off a one timed shot from a two on one break in the middle period. Another big moment in the second period was when he made three consecutive short range saves within just seconds and then ended the play with a huge glove grab on the fourth shot.

 

The Outlaws player of the game Guy Mageau fired in a pair of goals and an assist for a great three point night. Goalie Rob O'Donnell deflected 12 shots including some big stops in the first period.

CAHL 2006-2007 MVP Trophy Winner:

Guy Mageau

Guy Mageau's 43 goals, 22 assists, and 65 points in the regular season accounted for an amazing 23.5% of his team's total offence, the highest percentage in the Weekend Division. Guy Mageau was awarded the CAHL 2006-2007 MVP Trophy for his exceptional season.

Weekend Division Playoffs:

Dragons vs. Outlaws on Friday, May 11th

The fourth seeded Dragons faced off against the third place team the Outlaws in the opening Weekend Division playoff game. The Dragons all-star top scorer Daniel Leblanc scored the first goal of the game hitting the back of the net after just two minutes and thirty one seconds of play. David Babin replied for the Outlaws less than a minute later at 11:43, with a power play marker, tying up the game. Outlaw and 43 goal man, Guy Mageau, grabbed the lead for his team with a power play goal one minute and three seconds later at 10:40. The Dragons Daniel Leblanc scored his second goal of the game less than a minute after that at the 9:48 mark resulting in 2-2 score. Both teams scored a combined total of four goals in just 2:41 of play.

 

Marcel Poirier swung the balance in the Dragons favor with a goal at 8:14 giving his team the 3-2 lead. After the flurry of scores, remarkably, no more goals were scored the rest of the period.

 

Outlaws all-star Kelby Smith not only tied up the game at three apiece with a huge shorthanded goal at the 8:38 mark of the second period, but he also gave his team the lead with another goal at the 8:08 mark, just thirty seconds later. Outlaws David Babin added yet another goal just moments after at 7:56 which gave his team a two goal, 5-3 lead.

 

Kelby Smith opened the final frame with his third and hat trick goal of the night on the power play scoring just one minute and twenty three seconds into the third period. Ryan Michel added one more power play goal for the Outlaws to create a 7-3 lead with 8:29 left in the game. The Dragons never relented the rest of the way however the Outlaws denied their comeback attempt and held on to the four goal lead for the great 7-3 playoff victory.

 

Daniel Leblanc was the Dragons player of the game as he netted two big goals. The Outlaws player of the game was Kelby Smith who turned in an outstanding hat trick and two assist performance for a total of five points. Fellow Outlaw Guy Mageau had an awesome five point night as well with one goal and four assists.

 

Dragons goalie Matt Waldorf made some big stops as he turned away 20 shots on the night. The Outlaws goaltender, Rob O'Donnell, stopped everything after the first period as he finished with some great saves and an .893 save percentage for the win.

CAHL 2006-2007 All-Star Game on Saturday, May 5th

The CAHL 2006-2007 All-Star Game featured the top players of the Weekday Division and the Weekend Division in a battle for supremacy. There were 458 goals, 497 assists, and 955 points of combined firepower between the two squads which had to face up against a wall of 2310 saves and nine shutouts of combined top notch goaltending. The Weekday Division All-Stars were the eventual winners as they defeated the Weekend Division All-Stars by the score of 7-4.

 

Weekday Division 144 point All-Star scorer, Shamrock Geoff Zimmerman, possessing a lethal wrist shot, averaged a goal every 25 seconds as he scored an awe-inspiring natural hat trick in the second period during a span of just one minute and 15 seconds. Geoff Zimmerman was awarded the CAHL 2006-2007 All-Star MVP Trophy for his spectacular four goals, one assist, and five point performance.

 

Weekend Division All-Star goaltender Geoff Hwang's first save of the night, which was against a point blank shot, was a sign of the many more outstanding saves to come in his second half of the game. Hwang denied a one timed shot from the slot within the first minute of the third period, turned aside another one timed shot shortly after, which was later followed up by a great point blank glove save. Hwang would cap off the night with one more excellent save off yet another one timer with less than a minute to go in the game. Geoff Hwang stopped 20 of the 21 shots he faced for a superb .952 save percentage and was awarded the CAHL 2006-2007 All-Star MVP Trophy for his incredible performance.

 

Weekday Division All-Star Brett Watts, the top scorer of the Ice Storm, and Kent Gillings formed a formidable trio along with Geoff Zimmerman. Brett Watts opened the scoring at just 2:32 into the game and assisted on three of Zimmerman's goals for an awesome four point night. Kent Gillings displayed his excellent puck handling skills throughout the match as he assisted on a pair of Zimmerman's goals.

 

Tim Robinson showed why he was the Weekday Division Shockers top scorer during the regular season as he scored a great goal late in the first period and notched an assist on the opening goal by Brett Watts for a total of two points. The Rockets second top scorer and shorthanded goal specialist Scott Bouwman scored a stunning goal in the first frame as he skated out from the corner and roofed the puck at the 1:22 mark. Point per game defenceman, Rocket Kurt Bransma, contributed two assists, one in each of the first two periods.

 

Shocker Scott Ellard, the Weekday Division leading All-Star goalie, turned aside 16 shots including a terrific save even without the use of his arm or goal stick as arm was behind his back while his stick got caught in the net during a scramble around the net. Shamrock goaltender Ryan Steel, who finished the Weekday Division regular season with the most wins and the second best goals against average, played the second half and stopped a trio of breakaways in just the third period alone including one with a perfectly timed poke check.   

 

Weekend Division All-Star, Brian Abildgaard, continued his torrid goal per game pace during the regular season as he led the offence with a pair of goals and an assist for a great three point night. Jets sniper and second top scorer in the entire division, Jason Wroblewsky, scored a goal early in the third period. Number 19, Piechotta of the Sofa Kings fired in a power play goal on a rare all-star penalty with just over five minutes remaining in the game.

 

Jets Chris Macgregor, the outstanding leading scorer of the Weekend Division, contributed an assist on Piechotta's power play marker. The Dragons top scorer Daniel Leblanc assisted on Jason Wroblewsky's goal and one of Brian Abildgaard's goals as well for two points on the night. David Hughes, the Pylons number one scorer and the Pylons 1.19 points per game defenceman Trevor Hughes, both assisted Pylon teammate Brian Abildgaard's first goal of the game.

 

All-star goaltender Martin Gregoire led the Weekend Division in the regular season with an astonishing 2.07 goals against average and displayed his skills once again during the first period with a great breakaway save. However an even better moment came later when he made a fantastic glove grab on a two on one break.

Outlaws vs. Sofa Kings on Saturday, April 28th

The Outlaws won 6-2 against the Sofa Kings in the final game of the Saturday tripe header. All-star Guy Mageau led the Outlaws with an incredible natural hat trick and an assist for a total of four points. Fellow all-star Kelby Smith had an awesome five point performance with one goal and four assists. David Babin scored one goal and two assists for a great three point night. Lyndon Pippin and Steve Hamelin each contributed an assist. Goaltender Rob O'Donnell finished with 13 stops for the win.

 

Sofa Kings player of the game, goalie Jason Wist, led his team with 21 saves and even set up two goals with his great puck handling and passing ability. All-star defenceman Cole Piechotta and all-star forward Clark Piechotta rifled in the goals for the Sofa Kings.

Pylons vs. Outlaws on Saturday, April 21st

The Pylons won 12-1 against the Outlaws in Saturday's second game of the night. Captain and player of the game David Hughes led the Pylons with two goals and four assists for an awesome six point effort. Shawn Bellingham, Russ Bechtold, and Nate all launched in a pair of goals. Shawn Bellingham picked up two helpers as well to finish with a great four point match. 1.5 point per game player Kevin Donovan, and Brian Abildgaard, Andrew Abildgaard, and Trevor Hughes each fired in a goal. Kevin Donovan also notched two assists while Brian Abildgaard contributed one. Defenceman Martin Robichaud got three assists, Steve Logrove had two assists, and Tom Sparks and Steve Wilson each had one helper. Goalie Martin Gregoire turned away 13 shots and contributed an assist for the victory.     

 

Outlaws player of the game Lyndon Pippin fired in a goal early in the third period. Lucas and David Babin contributed the assists. Goaltender Andy Leung deflected 26 shots on the night including 11 in the third period.

Dragons vs. Outlaws on Saturday, April 14th

The Dragons came back from a 5-2 deficit late in the second period against the Outlaws to win 7-5. Mark De Souza scored the eventual game winner for the Dragons with just 2:39 to go in the third period. Just seven seconds later at the 2:32 mark, Dragons player of the game Marcel Poirier fired in a virtually unstoppable top corner laser beam to give his team a two goal cushion. That was Marcel Poirier's hat trick goal and fourth point of the night. Daniel Leblanc went from 39 to 43 points on the season in just one game as he fired in two goals and two assists for a great four point match. All-Star defenceman Benoit Robichaud scored a goal early in the third period while Christina DeSouza contributed an assist. Goalie Matt Waldorf stopped 23 shots on the night including a great save on a big one timer slap shot in the second frame.

 

All-Star and Outlaws player of the game Kelby Smith scored a tremendous hat trick rifling in three goals within just a 9:11 span in the second period averaging a goal every three minutes. David Babin had a great three point night as well scoring twice to go along with an assist. Guy Mageau, Brad MacDonald, Lyndon Pippin, and Ryan Michel all contributed one assist. Goaltender Rob O'Donnell made some nice stops including an awesome save on a point blank one timer shot in the third period.

Outlaws vs. Jets on Sunday, April 8th

The Outlaws were defeated 7-1 by the Jets on Sunday. Goalie and Outlaws player of the game Rob O'Donnell made a total of 30 stops including five saves in just a 15 second span during a scramble around his crease and also a great stop on a breakaway deke during the second period. Ryan Michel scored the lone Outlaw goal late in the first period.

 

Mike Wroblewsky was the Jets player of the game firing in a goal with just over five minutes to go in the second frame. Jeff Farncombe scored one goal per period for a great hat trick. Don Sheriff notched a pair of goals and one helper for a total of three points. Captain Jason Wroblewsky scored once while Chris Macgregor, Ryan Lloyd, and Paul Chateau each contributed an assist. Goalie Geoff Hwang made an excellent long range pass to set up Jeff Farncombe's second goal and also made a huge breakaway save during some four on four action in the second frame.

Hazards vs. Outlaws on Friday, April 6th

The Hazards tied the Outlaws 5-5 on Friday evening. The player of the game for the Hazards, Tim Barnes, had a big two goal effort. Captain Greg Bates opened the scoring for his team late in the first period. Mike Bakker and Doug Ferguson also provided firepower with each player launched in a goal. Tim Adams contributed two assists while Mike Greffen, Rich Auck, and Taylor MacDonald each added one. Goalie Mark Chomniak deflected a dozen shots including a great close range glove save late in the first period.

 

Guy Mageau and Brad MacDonald combined to score all five goals for the Outlaws. Player of the game, Guy Mageau, scored a great hat trick and almost got his fourth and potential game winner when his shot rang off the iron late in the third period. Brad MacDonald rifled in a big pair of goals. Kelby Smith set up a pair of goals including a great pass to Guy Mageau late in third frame to tie the game at five apiece. Ryan Michel also assist on that game tying goal. Goaltender Rob O'Donnell turned away 25 pucks and made some big stops especially his great save on a breakaway late in the first period.

Outlaws vs. Jets on Saturday, March 31st

The Outlaws lost to the Jets 12-1. Kelby Smith was the player of the game for the Outlaws scoring his team's lone goal on a big slap shot early in the third period. Rob O'Donnell deflected away 31 pucks on the night including some great saves.

 

The Jets player of the game Jason Wroblewsky, Don Sheriff, Chris Macgregor, and Trevor Nelson combined for a colossal total of 25 points. Jason Wroblewsky rifled in a hat trick and five assists. Don Sheriff had five assists as well and also scored a pair of goals. Chris Macgregor fired in four goals and two assists while Trevor Nelson notched a pair of goals and assists for a total of four points. Paul Chateau scored a late goal in the first period and Brad Paquin, Mike Wroblewsky, Ryan McDowell, and Denny Englehart each contributed an assist.

Pylons vs. Outlaws on Saturday, March 17th

The Pylons defeated the Outlaws 6-0. Pylons goalie and player of the game Martin Gregoire led the way with 23 stops including some great saves for the shutout. The trio of Nathan Vanderkuip, Brian Abildgaard, and Shawn Bellingham provided all the firepower with each player netting a pair of goals. Nathan Vanderkuip assisted on both of Shawn Bellingham's goals as well to finish with an awesome four point night. Team captain David Hughes had three big assists getting two in the first period and another in the second.

 

Guy Mageau was the player of the game for the Outlaws as he led the team with his play. Goaltender Rob O'Donnell stopped 24 shots and made some big saves through the three periods.

Outstanding Achievements:

100 Point and 50 Goal Season

Shamrock Geoff Zimmerman reached the 100 point mark of the season with just 1:38 remaining in the first period against the Rockets when he set up a goal by John Fisher. The CAHL 2006-2007 100 Point Season Trophy was awarded to Geoff for his incredible feat adding to his collection which already includes the CAHL 2006-2007 50 Goal Season Trophy.

 

Rocket Steve Brandon and Outlaw Guy Mageau are still in pursuit of 50 goal seasons with Steve firing in a pair of goals on Wednesday which moves him to just seven goals away from number 50 while Guy scored twice on Saturday to put him at 15 goals from number 50.

Dragons vs. Outlaws on Saturday, March 10th

The Dragons won 6-5 against the Outlaws. Marcel Poirier scored the game winning goal for the Dragons with just 3:44 to go in the match. Marcel got three assists as well to finish with a four point player of the game performance. Charlie Williams was awesome as well scoring a goal and four assists for a total of five points. Number 73 Daniel Leblanc had a big two goal game. Benoit Robichaud and Dan Tinaburri also scored while Derek Verhegge contributed an assist.

 

The Outlaws player of the game Guy Mageau scored his division leading 34th and 35th goals of the season and also picked up an assist on night for a total of three points. Lyndon Pippin and Luke Pascoe also scored while Todd Phillips and Kelby Smith each added an assist. Goalie Rob O'Donnell made 14 stops including a great pad stack save in the second period.

Hazards vs. Outlaws on Saturday, March 3rd

The Hazards lost 10-3 to the Outlaws. Josh Horning led his team throughout the night and was the player of the game for the Hazards. Josh, Doug Ferguson, and Dean Moody were the goal scorers while the other trio of Carl Pocock, Tim Barnes, and Mike Bakker picked up the assists. Goalie Greg Bates made some big saves and finished the match with 14 stops.

 

Jason McKay topped all scorers with an outstanding player of the game performance for the Outlaws with two goals and four assists for a total of six points on the night. Luke Pascoe and Lyndon Pippin made great contributions as well with each player netting a pair of goals. Brad MacDonald had a big three point night with one goal and two assists. Ryan Michel, Guy Mageau, and Kelby Smith also scored with Ryan and Guy picking up assists as well for two point nights. Guy Mageau notched his division leading 50th point and also scored his 33rd goal of the season which puts him now at 17 goals away from number 50.

Pylons vs. Outlaws on Saturday, February 17th

The Pylons defeated the Outlaws 8-0. Kevin Donovan, David Hughes, and Trevor Hughes all had awesome four point nights for the Pylons. The Pylons player of the game Kevin scored a hat trick and an assist, team captain David fired in one goal and three assists, and Trevor set up four goals. Brian Abildgaard and Shawn Bellingham both had great three point games. Brian scored twice and had an assist while Shawn had the opposite with one goal and two helpers. Steve Logrove also scored and picked up an assist too. Dan Wahl and goaltender Martin Gregoire each added an assist. Martin turned aside 22 shots including some great saves for the shutout win.

 

Lyndon Pippin, Kelby Smith, Jason McKay, Ryan Michel, and Brad MacDonald were great for the Outlaws as the unit of five played the entire game without  substitution.

50 Goal Season

Shamrock Geoff Zimmerman scored his 50th goal of the season at the 3:23 mark of the first period versus the Ice Storm scoring on a wrist shot from the slot near the bottom of the right hand circle. Geoff was awarded the CAHL 2006-2007 50 Goal Season Trophy for his outstanding achievement.

 

Rocket Steve Brandon and Outlaw Guy Mageau are still in hot pursuit of 50 goal seasons with Steve sitting at 15 goals away from 50 and Guy resting at 18 goals from 50.

The Pursuit of 50

After scoring his 47th, 48th, and 49th goals of the season last game Shamrock Geoff Zimmerman is on the verge of reaching goal number 50 needing just one more to hit the exceptional 50 goal mark. Rocket Steve Brandon and Outlaw Guy Mageau are both still on pace for 50 goals as well with Steve currently at 35 goals while Guy is at 32 goals. The previous CAHL record for most goals in a regular season was 37 set by Craig Bezjack.

Pylons vs. Outlaws on Saturday, February 10th

The Pylons won 13-5 against the Outlaws. Pylons captain and player of the game David Hughes topped all scorers with an outstanding five point game scoring one goal and four assists. Shawn Bellingham and Craig Rollison were right up there as well with each player netting four points on the strength of two goals and two assists. Defenceman Martin Robichaud was awesome as he fired in a hat trick with two goals in the first period and his third of the night in the second. Brian Abildgaard, Kevin Donovan, and Dan Wahl each had good two point efforts. Brian scored twice, Kevin got two helpers, and Dan had one of each. Russ Bechtold and Steve Logrove also scored while Trevor Hughes, Tom Sparks, and Nathan Vanderkuip each notched an assist. Goaltender Martin Gregoire contributed an assist in addition to the 13 saves he made.

 

Outlaws player of the game Guy Mageau had another five point night totaling 10 points in his last six periods. This time he scored two goals and three assists. Ryan Aspinwall had a big game as well with three points scoring one goal and a pair of assists. Brad MacDonald and Brad Wallis also scored and Steve Hamelin added an assist. Goalie Josh Wildey turned aside 14 pucks in the match.

The Pursuit of 50

A 50 goal season is in sight for three players at the moment, Shamrock Geoff Zimmerman, Rocket Steve Brandon, and Outlaw Guy Mageau. Geoff Zimmerman has 46 goals, Steve Brandon has 34, and Guy Mageau has 30. All three players are currently on pace for a 50 goal or better season. The previous CAHL regular season record for most goals is 37 set by Craig Bezjack.

Dragons vs. Outlaws on Saturday, February 3rd

The Dragons and Outlaws tied 7-7. The Dragons are undefeated in the past two games scoring seven goals each time. Dragons player of the game Charlie Williams was outstanding as he finished the night with six points scoring a hat trick and three assists. Daniel Leblanc had a great game as well with a four point night scoring once to go along with three assists. Goalie Matt Waldorf turned aside 17 shots and made some nice saves in the match.

 

The Outlaws player of the game Guy Mageau was amazing scoring his first goal on a breakaway, his second goal on a top corner shot, his third goal was from end to end, and his fourth goal tied the game with just 40.3 seconds remaining in the third period. He also had a assist for a total of five points. Kelby Smith and Jason McKay both had big two point games. Kelby scored a pair of goals while Jason got one goal and one assist. Lyndon Pippin added an assist as well. Goaltender Josh Wildey made a total of 30 saves including some big stops on the night.

Hazards vs. Outlaws on Friday, January 26th

The Hazards won 6-5 versus the Outlaws on Friday night. Tim Barnes led the way for the Hazards with a great four point player of the game performance. Doug Ferguson had a big showing as well with a pair of goals. Greg Bates, Randy Elson, and Mike Bakker also fired in a goal apiece while Dave Bates contributed an assist. Goalie Ryan Elson turned aside 27 shots on the night.

 

Guy Mageau and Joshua Wood powered the Outlaw offence with each player netting three big points. Vince Koch had a pair of points with a goal and an assist. Lyndon Pippin also scored and Ryan Michel added an assist. Goaltender Josh Wildey finished the match with 18 saves.

Outlaws vs. Jets on Saturday, January 20th

The Outlaws lost to the Jets on Saturday night by the score of 9-7. Jason Wroblewsky was amazing for the Jets as he scored four goals including the game winning goal with just 5:08 left in the game. Jason also picked up an assist for a total of five points. Trevor Nelson had a huge night as well rifling in a hat trick. Denny Englehart and Don Sheriff both got two points with a goal and an assist apiece. Chris Macgregor added three big assists and Tim Buchan picked up one assist. Goalie Geoff Hwang finished the night with 28 saves.

 

Guy Mageau simply had an awesome night for the Outlaws firing in a total of four goals including three in the second period alone. Steve Hamelin had two points with a goal and an assist. Kelby Smith also scored while Lyndon Pippin added a helper. Goaltender Rob O'Donnell deflected 20 shots on the night.

Outlaws vs. Dragons on Friday, November 24th

The Outlaws defeated the Dragons 13-8 in an offensive showcase from both teams. Ryan Aspinwall, the player of the game for the Outlaws, led his team with a hat trick and an assist for an excellent four point game. Carl Montminy also had an awesome night firing in a hat trick including the game winning goal. Luke Pascoe and Brad Wallis finished with great three point nights with Luke netting two goals and a helper and Brad getting one goal and two helpers. Both Guy Mageau and Nick Powell had big two point efforts with each player firing in a goal and setting up one. Steve Hamelin, Kelby Smith, Ryan Michel, Todd Phillips, and Lyndon Pippin all added a point apiece with Steve and Kelby scoring and Ryan, Todd, and Lyndon each contributing an assist. Goalie Rob O'Donnell turned aside 10 pucks on the night.

 

Alvin Chim was the player of the game for the Dragons scoring a hat trick and a pair of assists for an outstanding five point night. Mark De Souza had an awesome game as well with a total of four points getting two goals and two assists. Daniel Leblanc and Roy Canteras both had big two point nights with Daniel scoring a goal and an assist while Roy set up a pair of goals. Captain Davin Johnsrud started the Dragons offence with a goal just 1:27 into the game. Carlos Zaramella added a goal and Dan Tinaburri contributed an assist. Matt Waldorf made 24 saves in the match including 13 stops in the second frame.

Outlaws vs. Jets on Friday, November 17th

The Outlaws lost a close match to the Jets 5-3. Guy Mageau was the player of the game for the Outlaws for the second time this season firing in a pair of goals including a short hander early in the first. Luke Pascoe notched a goal in the second frame to make it a 3-4 game. Captain Mike Blunderfield, Alex Engels, and Carl Montminy each contributed an assist. Goalie Rob O'Donnell deflected away 23 shots including 10 in the third period.

 

Trevor Nelson led the Jets with a great player of the game performance scoring a hat trick. Denny Englehart and Ryan Lloyd both rifled in a goal each with Ryan getting the game winner at the 10:47 mark of the second period. Captain Paul Chateau contributed an assist while Don Sheriff got a pair of assists. Goaltender Geoff Hwang turned aside 21shots including 14 out of 15 over the last two periods for his fifth win of the season.

Pylons vs. Outlaws on Friday, November 10th

The Pylons defeated the Outlaws 7-1 to win their sixth consecutive match of the season. Steve Wilson was the player of the game for the Pylons scoring two goals including the game winner. Russ Bechtold, Martin Robichaud, Kevin Donovan, Craig Rollison, Brian Abildgaard, and Shawn Bellingham all finished the night with two points each. Russ and Martin both had a pair of goals while Kevin, Craig, Brian, and Shawn got two assists apiece. Captain David Hughes fired in the seventh Pylon goal and Steve Logrove, Tom Sparks, and Michael Dixon each contributed a helper. Goalie Martin Gregoire lowered his leading goals against average to just 1.67 with another key save filled game such as his great glove save in the third frame on an Outlaw flying down the wing.

 

Goaltender Rob O'Donnell was the Outlaws player of the game making some great saves while facing plenty of shots including a diving save across the crease in the second period and a big pad stack save in the third. Brad Wallis scored the lone Outlaws goal with Luke Belfry and Luke Pascoe contributing the assists.

Dragons vs. Outlaws on Friday, November 3rd

The Dragons lost to the Outlaws by the score of 7-5. Daniel Leblanc, the player of the game for the Dragons, fired in a pair of big goals. Ed Powers also had a great two goal night while AJ Cheema scored once. Derek Verhegge, Charlie Williams, and Dan Tinaburri each contributed an assist. Goalie Rich Froese made a total of 19 saves in the match including stopping 11 of the 12 shots aimed his way in the first period.

 

Mike Blunderfield led the Outlaws offence with a player of the game three point effort scoring twice, including the game winner, and an assist. Guy Mageau was awesome as well notching two goals and two assists for a total of four points. Brad Wallis, Luke Belfry, and Luke Pascoe all got big two point games. Brad and Luke both got a goal and an assist. Luke finished with two helpers. Goaltender Rob O'Donnell turned aside 11 shots in the match.

Outlaws vs. Jets on Saturday, October 28th

The Outlaws were defeated by the Jets 4-1. The player of the game for the Outlaws, number 10 Guy Mageau, netted the team's only goal at 4:19 of the second period with Vince Koch picking up the assist. Goaltender Rob O'Donnell made 19 saves including 11 stops in the first frame.

 

The Jets goalie Geoff Hwang was awesome in leading his team to the win with his third player of the game performance this season stopping 24 of the 25 shots launched his way to finish with a top flight .960 save percentage. Chris Macgregor, Denny Englehart, and Don Sheriff armed the Jets with plenty of firepower with Chris rifling in a pair of goals and an assist while Denny and Don each fired in a goal and a helper. Jason Wroblewsky contributed an assist on the night.

Pylons vs. Outlaws on Saturday, October 21st

The Pylons player of the game Shawn Bellingham had an amazing five point night in leading his team to a 10-2 victory over the Outlaws. Shawn got three points in the first period alone picking up an assist and scoring twice, including the game winning goal, and then to top if off launched in two more goals in the third for an awesome total of four goals and one assist. Number 11 Steve Wilson had a great three point night with one goal and two helpers. Kevin Donovan had a big two goal game netting his third and fourth goals of the season in the first frame. The trio of Craig Rollison, Trevor Hughes, and Brian Abildgaard also got two points apiece. Craig scored once to go along with a helper while Trevor and Brian each contributed a pair of assists. Pylons Captain David Hughes opened the scoring early just 40 seconds into the first period with Michael Dixon with picking up the assist. Martin Robichaud fired in the game's lone second period goal. Goaltender Martin Gregoire finished the night with 23 stops on 25 shots, including stopping all 15 combined shots in the final two frames, for an excellent .920 save percentage.

 

Luke Belfry, the Outlaws player of the game, rifled in a pair of goals scoring his second and third of the season in just two games. Goalie Rob O'Donnell deflected away 16 shots on the night.

Outlaws vs. Dragons on Saturday, October 14th

The Outlaws won 5-2 against the Dragons. Both goalies were the players of the game as they faced a combined total of 63 shots. Goalie Rob O'Donnell, the player of the game for the Outlaws, made 23 saves and finished with a great .920 save percentage. Number 10 Guy Mageau fired the game winner for the Outlaws with less than two minutes to go in the second frame and also contributed an assist in the third for a total of two points. Alex Engels, Jason McKay, Todd Phillips, and Luke Belfry all scored a goal apiece. Mike Blunderfield got two big assists on the night and Lyndon Pippin also added a helper.

 

The Dragons player of the game for the second consecutive week, goaltender Matt Waldorf, stopped all 11 shots aimed his way in the first period, made 13 saves in the second, and topped it off with nine more save in the third for a total of 33 saves in the match. The double "A" duo of AJ Cheema and Alvin Chim provided the offence for the Dragons with AJ scoring the two goals and Alvin assisting on both.

Outlaws vs. Jets on Friday, October 6th

The Outlaws were defeated by the Jets 5-1 in the Weekend Division season opener. Steve Hamelin, the Outlaws player of the game, scored the lone goal with Ryan Aspinwall and Mike Blunderfield picking up the assists. Goalie Rob O'Donnell turned away 12 shots on the night.

 

The Jets player of the game, goalie Jeff Hwang, had an incredible night and started the game with a perfect first period stopping all 18 shots. He went on to finish the game with 34 saves on 35 shots for a fantastic .971 save percentage. Chris Macgregor led the scoring with an excellent three point game scoring twice, including a short handed goal, and an assist. Tim Buchan also had a great night with a pair of goals. Denny Englehart scored the game winning goal midway through the second period at the 8:43 mark. Terry hanson, Smith, Jason Wroblewsky, Paul Chateau, and Don Sherif each added an assist.
