Division AA
Championship: Divers vs. Blues on Tuesday, April 4th

The
Divers are the 2005-2006 CAHL Cup Champions and Gold Medal
winners after defeating the
Blues 7-5
in game two winning the series 2-0. The Blues are the CAHL
Silver Medal winners.
Vince Pitt scored the CAHL
Cup winning goal for the Divers at 9:57 of the third period and
was awarded the CAHL Playoff MVP Trophy for his outstanding play
throughout the playoffs.
Vince Pitt finished with a
four point night scoring two goals and two assists.
Bob Faktor had an incredible
game with four goals and one assist for a total of five points.
Brent Gay and
Tyler Brown both had very
good two assist games. Robby Mckeen
and
Kevin Lewis each picked up
an assist. Jason Miller
added an empty net insurance goal with 12 seconds remaining in
the game.
Steve Miller was awesome
throughout the game turning aside 34 shots including some great
point blank chances.
Laird Dyck led the Blues with
two goals and two assists for an excellent four point night.
Both
Tim Buckley and
Tim Cross had big two point
games.
Brian Ross and
Scott Atkinson scored a
goal apiece. Ben Van Der Lee,
Lynden Dyck, and
Derek Hamill each added an
assist.
Dorlan Schick was great in
net making some big stops including a huge glove save in the
second period.
Dorlan Schick was awarded
the CAHL Top Goalie Trophy for his outstanding season in which
he led all goalies with the best goals against average.
Steve Atkinson won the
CAHL Top Scorer Trophy for his amazing season in leading all
scorers. Scott Atkinson
was the winner of the CAHL Top Defenceman Trophy for his
incredible season in which he led all defenceman in scoring.

The Divers
defeated the
Blues 4-2
in game one of the best of three Division AA Championship.
Jason Miller led all Divers
with a great three point game.
Aaron Young,
Vince Pitt, and
Craig Bezjack all had big
two point nights.
Dan Bourgault and
Kevin Lewis both added an
assist.
Scott Atkinson and
Ben Van Der Lee scored for
the Blues.
Steve Atkinson,
Brian Ross, and
Matt Dyck each picked up an
assist.
Dorlan Schick turned aside
24 shots including a number of great stops from close range.

Playoffs: Divers vs.
Flyers on Monday, March 13th

The score was tied 9-9
with just 21 seconds remaining in the game when
Kevin Lewis made an amazing
pass to
Brent Gay who went in alone on
the breakaway to score an incredible series winning goal. The
Divers will advance to the finals after
defeating the Flyers
10-9 to win the best of three semi-finals
2-0.
Brent Gay finished the game
with an awesome total of four goals and one assist.
Craig Bezjack had two
goals and five assists for an incredible seven point game.
Kevin Lewis and
Jason Miller both had great
four point nights.
Jarret Mann had a big three
point game.
Tyler Brown got a solid two
points and
Ryan Marien picked up an
assist.
Steve Miller turned aside
30 shots including some great point blank saves.
Chris Dowsett and
Brian Santangelo both
had an outstanding game for the Flyers.
Chris Dowsett scored four
times and got three assist for a total of seven points.
Brian Santangelo also
scored four goals and picked up a pair of assists for a total of
six points. Todd Reidy had a
great game including scoring a top corner goal on a perfect feed
from
Bryan McMillan.
Todd Reidy had three points
and
Bryan McMillan got two.
Marty Webber added an
assist.
Kelly Lyness played
unbelievable for the Flyers making incredible saves throughout
the game including a Dominik Hasek type reverse glove save while
down on the ice and a great point blank pad stack glove save.

The Divers
beat the Flyers
6-3 in game one of the best
of three semi-finals.
Brent Gay and
Kevin Lewis led the way for
the Divers with great three point nights.
Brent Gay scored twice
including a short handed goal with just 2:06 remaining in the
game to give the Divers a three goal lead.
Kevin Lewis also had two
goals and an assist. Robby Mckeen,
Bob Faktor,
Vince Pitt, and
Jarret Mann all had solid
two point nights.
Craig Bezjack added an
assist, and goalie
Steve Miller turned aside
16 shots.
Duane Madsen topped all Flyers with a two point night. Flyer
goalie
Kelly Lyness made 32 saves
including 13 in the second period.

Blues' incredible record setting 14 game
winning streak by defeating them 9-7.
Craig Bezjack led the
Divers with an excellent five point night. He scored a hat
trick, including the game winner, and had two assists.
Vince Pitt and
Jarret Mann also had great
games.
Vince Pitt got two goals and
two assists for a four point night.
Jarret Mann had a hat trick.
Matt Dyck responded for the
Blues with a great three point effort.

in the battle for first place in the Weekday Division. The
Blues'
Steve Atkinson had an
amazing six assist night which set a new record for most assists
in a single game. He also set new records for most points in a
regular season with 41
and most assists in a regular season with
23.
Andrew Griffin had an
incredible night as well scoring four goals and adding an assist
for a five point night.
Ben Van Der Lee had an
excellent game scoring a hat trick.
Tim Buckley scored twice and
had two assists for a great four point night. Both
Tim Cross and
Matt Mosley had big three
point games.

nights. The Divers were led by

regulation for the Divers. Both

Vince Pitt led the way for
the Divers with three points.
Aaron Young had a solid two
point effort.

Shootout: Divers vs.
Thrashers
The
Divers and
Thrashers were tied 3-3 at the end of regulation time. A
shootout was needed to determine the winner.
Chad Holonics scored
the shootout and game winning goal for the Thrashers to cap off
the thrilling game with a 3-4
win. The Thrashers' goalie
Steve Tolhurst stopped
all four shooters from the Divers in the shootout and 37 of the
40 shots he faced during regulation.
Jordan Skinner had a
two goal night for the Thrashers.
